| Boys U16 Strikers win Chris Neilson Memorial Cup |

The Boys U-16 Blizzard Strikers are the proud recipients of the Chris Neilson Memorial Cup presented to them at the Duggan/ Empire Park 5th Annual Tournament on May 13-15, 2005. The boys were chosen from 13 U -16 boys teams participating in the tournament by referees, technical consultants and the tournament director. In a moving ceremony, the family of former soccer player and Duggan community member Chris Neilson explained the Blizzard team was chosen because they best exhibited the traits which Chris exemplified in his own community sports career; a strong competitive drive and determination to succeed balanced by an equally strong commitment to the ideals of sportsmanship and fair play.
