The Blizzard Falcons staged an impressive come-from-behind win in the gold medal game against the Edmonton West Raiders in the Edmonton West Zone Spring Challenge. Falling behind 2-0 in the first half, the Falcons tied the game with less than 10 seconds to go. Penalties were needed to decide the game as 20 minutes of extra time resulted in no goals for either team. The Falcons' keeper made two sensational saves off the first two Edmonton penalties, while the Edmonton keeper was no match for the Falcons. The Falcons were undefeated in the tournament.
