GU16 Bears dominated the Tier IV Family Day tournament with the help of Danica and Kristin from the GU14 Leopards.  Winning 3-0 against Celtic Express, 1-0 against CMCA, 2-1 against McLeod Royals (Edmonton) and finishing up with a 1-0 win against Celtic Glory in a shootout for the Gold Medal.  With an incredible display of ball control throughout the tournament the girls kept the opposition under control and with only a single goal allowed in regulation time Cayla stonewalled the competition.  Along with our Gold Medal, Cayla was awarded the Keeper of the tournament trophy in our division.

All of our girls deserved this very hard fought for, Gold Medal, and we are extremely proud of them for their efforts.  Thank you to Jeff and the Leopards, for allowing Danica and Kristin to play in the tournament with us, as their contribution to the team was significant.  Missing from our team for this tournament was Hilary D.

A small footnote to add:   More congratulations are in order for the first place finish in our playoff division.  We will now move on to Inter-Cities March 11 – 13^th in Calgary.
