Congratulations to Blizzard Thunder U16 II for their recent success in the Lethbridge Family Day Tournament.  The competition was excellent with Tier I & II teams from around the province participating.   

The Thunder finished first overall after going through the round robin undefeated, including a solid win over a Calgary Tier I team.  The Gold Medal game saw another excellent performance from the girls, playing through 50 minutes to a nil nil draw.  Our quest for gold was ended on a goal by the very last opposition player in a shootout. 

A special thank you to our guest players Sandra and Jane, you were a great help to us. 

Congratulations Thunder on wining a well deserved Silver Medal in Lethbridge.  You all played with intensity, determination and fairness, well done!
