U16 Girls - Blizzard Leopards took home the Gold Medal in the Tier IV
competition at the 1st Annual Edmonton North Summer Sizzler Tournament, June 9-11, 2006.

The Leopards first game was a close 1-0 win against the Calgary's Celtic Elite. The second game was a very physical contest that resulted in a 2 -1 win over Edmonton McLeod. 8:00 am came early on a cool, wet Sunday morning, but the Leopards were on the prowl as they beat Edmonton Fraser, 7 - 2. The Gold medal match was a rematch against Edmonton McLeod and the girls took charge from the start of the game and outscored McLeod, 2 - 1to win the Gold Medal. Congratulations to Aria, Ashley, Carly, Helena,Jahan, Jazmin, Jessica, Jessica, Julia, Katya, Kristin, Lindsay, Mari and Sky. A special thanks to Sarah who joined us for the weekend and Diana for her support from the sidelines. Coaches Larry and Jeff are very proud of your outstanding effort.
