GU12 Blizzard Diamonds started the season off on a shaky foot losing their first game, but game by game, the team gradually improved. Unfortunately they lost their last two games of the season by a goal which killed their Provincial hopes, but qualified for Inter-Cities tournament.

There was a noticeable improvement in the players and the couple U10 call up players and they all transitioned from shy players, to confident players, from regular season to inter-cities. One player even broke out a header in their final game, and all the players stopped turning away from the ball. The girls had endless breakaways, awesome saves by their goalies, awesome defensive plays. The Diamonds won their first inter-city game, lost their second by a goal, and had a nail biter in their final game. The girls pulled ahead by one goal to make it 2-1, and then followed suit with two insurance goals to win 4-1 to clinch 1st place in our grouping.   Mission Accomplished for Blizzard Diamonds !!!
