The Blizzard Cyclones demonstrated why it is important to never give up!! Being down by a goal in the first game of the Intercities ‘A’ to the Edmonton 1 team, the Cyclones fought hard to tie the game with less than a minute remaining to earn a key point in the round robin competition. In the second game, the Cyclones were again down a goal against the formidable Celtic Fury, a team that was undefeated in league play. But it was with only 2 minutes left that the Cyclones stunned Celtic by tying the game, and then with just over a minute left, scoring the decisive goal to take the 2-1 win over a team that had only conceded 4 goals in total during Calgary league playoffs. In the final game against Edmonton 2, the Cyclones dominated with a 7-0 win. The end result of the round robin competition was gold for the Cyclones, silver for Celtic and bronze for Edmonton 1.
