A significant “first” in the 40 year history of the Blizzard Soccer Club as the Boys U10 Blizzard Rovers became the first team in this age category to win the Spring Cup Competition.  Notable as well is the fact that this is their first season as a team.

Not only did they win their GOLD Medal in a thrilling final match versus the Okotoks Raiders Team in an Epic 2 - 1 win, they also came top in their Group "C" Competitive League Table.

Coach Geoff Martin says that it is exciting to see players from all levels of skill and development come through with self confidence and achieve remarkable results over the course of the 2006 / 07 Indoor season.  They won 12 out of 15 league games, losing 2 in the seeding round and tying only one game in the play offs.

Geoff's last comments were that this is the foundation for success of our club.  We are excited for this Outdoor season as early indications are that we will have at least five U10 Boys’ teams and four U10 Girls’ teams.  This is exciting for the future of the club.
