BLIZZARD GUNNERS PICK UP SILVER IN EDMONTON SPRING CHALLENGE 

On the weekend of June 1 to 3rd the Blizzard Gunner Boys U-16 Tier 2 team played in the Edmonton Spring Challenge Tournament. The boys came

away with the Silver. The Gunners were undefeated in Round Robin play and qualified for the Gold Medal Game. They played the Ft. McMurray Fury

for the Gold. It was a great game. Tied after regulation 1-1, it went to Golden Goal sudden death. It stayed tied where they went to a shoot out. Even the first go round

of the shoot out couldn't determine a winner. Switching to sudden death shoot out a winner was decided.

The Gunners employed a new formation and certain personnel position changes for Edmonton which seemed to work very well for the team. The players and parents all had a great weekend with lots of side activities planned. The weather was fantastic. All in All a great weekend was had by all.
