Blizzard Thunder G U18 Tier 2 girls team took first place at the CWSA Wildrose tournament over the Canada Day Weekend.  The Wildrose proved to be a very good test for the Thunder as the tournament attracted strong sides from Women’s Leagues across Alberta and from Tier I CMSA

.

Thunder finished first overall in the Competitive II flight by going undefeated in the round robin with three consecutive shutout victories.  The Thunder finished with the best record in the tournament with 12 points, the maximum possible in three games with the three extra points awarded for the shutouts in each game.

The final matched Thunder against a Tier I U-18 CMSA team and again the Thunder responded with a 1-0 shutout victory, their fourth consecutive shutout.
