In a close fought match, the GU14-2 Blizzard Lightning took home the Gold Medal at the 2008 Edmonton Slush Cup.  With a short bench and lots of injuries, they still managed to fight through the exhaustion and pull out a come-from –behind 2-1 win over the NSDSC Suns from Calgary.  The girls played with great skill and heart and made the parents and coaches very proud.  What a great way to prepare for the upcoming Provincials in Calgary on March 15 and 16.  LET’S GO LIGHTNING!!!!
