The Blizzard Blasters had a great weekend winning the Bronze medal at the U14 Tier 2 Provincials. The girls tied for first in their
seeding group (One win and one tie in our two games) and won the
group in an evening shootout (4 hours after our last game on
Saturday) back at the soccer center against the Edmonton SE Storm.
We then lost a close game to Sherwood Park in the semi-finals and
took the Bronze in another shootout victory against the Calgary NSD
Suns. As coach, I am especially proud of the teams accomplishment as a first year team in a two year age group. We are now off for a 10
day training trip in England where we will train with the Everton
Academy and play exhibition games in Liverpool, Manchester and London.
