CBSC Foundations Support Staff

 Job Description and Responsibilities

 

OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the delivery of our Roots/Community programming.
  • Assist in the delivery of our U9/U10 skill centres
  • Assist in the delivery of any other additional Grassroots programming offered by the club (i.e. School programs, aftercare programs, etc.)
  • Assist in the delivery of CBSC camps and additional seasonal events

 

ON FIELD RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Setup and take down of equipment
  • Ensuring playing field is free from debris and safe for play
  • Transporting of equipment to our community locations
  • Participate as a coach at CBSC camps and other programming we offer

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Confident and strong leadership skills; able to engage and manage a group of 8-12 children between the ages of 3-10 years old
  • Outgoing; establish a fun and energetic environment for players
  • Professional and positive self-presentation; always dressed in appropriate club attire and being mindful of one’s own body language when on field
  • Adaptable and established problem-solving skills; able to think on the spot and adapt sessions on field
  • Responsible and organized; Ensure availability is updated regularly and on a timely basis
  • Reliable and punctual; responsible to find coverage if unable to attend a scheduled session
  • Prepared for each session; familiar with the session plan before arriving at the field
  • Willing to learn and take part in added learning opportunities; able to attend any coaching courses/workshops offered by CBSC to expand coach education and improve programming

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • On field experience coaching players ages 10 and under
  • Completed NCCP coaching certifications (Active Start, FUNdamentals, Learn to Train) are an asset
  • Any other completed education programs/workshops that involve working with young individuals are an asset
