Alieu Jawara sponsors some boys’ soccer teams in Gambia, and the Blizzards were glad to be able to help out with jerseys for the players. Alieu writes, “Personally sponsoring those kids to play soccer, in between their difficult labour at the farms, has been the joy of my life. Even though they do not have much time to play and the conditions and equipment are poor, you’ll be amazed at the skills of some of those boys. People are extremely grateful for your generous gifts. I can’t explain in words what this means to everyone; not only the kids but the communities as a whole.”
