Two old Blizzards were back in town recently and met up with their old coach, General Manager Alan Rickwood. Goalkeeper Jordan Santiago has just signed a 12 month extension to his contract with Cardiff City and Ethan Gage has 12 months with Reading FC. Both these teams play in the Championship, one level down from the English Premier League. Both clubs were also involved in the Play Offs for a spot in the EPL, but narrowly missed out, Reading beating Cardiff before losing to Swansea in the final.
Ethan, who moved from the Whitecaps to Reading in January, is currently the Canada under 20 captain and Jordan has performed for the team over the past year as well, the team travelling to Spain and Guatemala. Not a bad way to see the world!!!
The Club is extremely proud of both players and we wish both boys well for the upcoming season and will be keeping a close eye on their progress.
