Blizzard is pleased to announce several exciting changes to its Grassroots program which will enhance the experience for our young players and strengthen the Club’s foundation and player depth for years to come.
We recently announced the addition of our new Grassroots TD, Craig Angus, who joins us from the Vancouver Whitecaps and will be assuming his role on March 1st.
We are also pleased to announce the addition of Jens Lipper as our new Grassroots Manager. Jens is a founder of SoccerTech, a non-profit organization delivering premium soccer grassroots programs across northwest Calgary, and has been a highly-valued volunteer with Blizzard for over ten years. Jens will bring his strong managerial and organizational skills to our program to ensure players and parents are provided a first-rate soccer experience.
Blizzard has also entered into a strategic partnership with SoccerTech, to provide technical training services to their large player base. This partnership will provide our Club the opportunity to broaden our exposure to grassroots players across northwest Calgary giving us the potential to further grow our membership. SoccerTech currently delivers their programs to the following communities:
• Arbour Lake • Citadel
• Ranchlands • Dalhousie
• Evanston Creekside • Hidden Valley
• Northern Hills
• Skyview Ranch • Nolan Hill/Sage Hill
